The vision for the Pupil Referral Units is to provide a continuum of high quality provision for those learners who are the most challenged and challenging within the town with needs related to emotional, behavioural and social difficulties or who are unable to attend school due to medical reasons. The aim will be to place the individual learner at the heart of a holistic planning process so that needs can be effectively met and issues ameliorated to the extent that a return to mainstream provision, alongside their peers can be achieved. We want all our young people to be able to progress into further education, training or employment and achieve economic wellbeing and as such all learners will have the opportunity to gain Level 2 threshold.
